As a local native to Flagstaff, I attended Northern Arizona University and received my BS degree in Sociology/Pre-Law. I worked in the legal profession until I obtained my real estate license in 2004, and then I acquired my loan originator license in 2013. My experience as both a licensed Realtor and Mortgage Loan Originator helps me as I have been on both sides of the transaction and can use my knowledge to ensure a smooth purchase journey. I have been a loan originator with LHM Financial since February 2019. I am very impressed with the level of expertise and teamwork between the loan originators, opening staff, processors, underwriters, and the closing department. I am always amazed by everyone who strives for a seamless transaction; they go above and beyond expectations to achieve that goal.
As both a Loan Originator and my previous career as a Realtor, the best feeling for me is to help my clients obtain the dream of homeownership. Nothing beats the smiles and good emotions associated with people investing in their futures, the friendships forged through this process is just the cherry on top! I am always surprised by how many of my clients have never been told about the mortgage process. I love to answer their questions and explain where their loan is every step of the way. When the mortgage process is completed, there is no better compliment than a previous customer's referral. The most important value that I have with my clients is making them feel like they belong to a team dedicated to getting them into their dream home. I don't want my borrowers to feel like a number; I want them to know that I'm there throughout their financing experience and have their best interests at heart. I am a firm believer in the Golden Rule – treat others the way you want to be treated. I am truthful with my clients and treat them with respect through the mortgage process. I am available to all my clients for questions even after they have closed on their homes, and I believe I have a lot of repeat business because my clients feel they are working with a friend.
As a kid, I was active in gymnastics, cheerleading, track, and dance. I ended up lettering in track my sophomore year and went on to compete in the Mountain Man Triathlon as an adult. I still run today, and my girls are following in my footsteps; we regularly compete in 5K runs together. My family and I are big campers, both in the woods and at the lake. We spend a lot of time hiking, bike riding, Razr and quad riding, kayaking, and walking our dog Moose. If it's a nice day, you can count on seeing the Conklins out enjoying it!
