I grew up in Brentwood, Tennessee, and found my love for photography in High School. After marrying my husband and following him to Virginia with the Military, I started college at West Virginia University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Marketing. I then started my own photography business. My passion has always been creating lasting memories for families, and I feel like my new job does the same, just in a different way.
I began working with Ben Nihart as his assistant in June 2020; since I was new to the industry, I was excited to learn. I am learning from one of the very best in the business! If he has taught me anything, it is, to be honest, available, always answer my phone, and treat people with kindness and respect. The people I work with every day encourage me, cheer me on, make me feel welcome, and allow me to learn from them each day. The support I have in the office sets me up to be the best I can be for all of our clients. This job and this team were everything I needed in a difficult time. I had lost my previous job in March due to the pandemic. A friend had mentioned me to Ben when he was looking for an assistant. I knew my organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to learn quickly would be an excellent fit for the position. After meeting Ben and hitting it off right away, I knew it would be the biggest blessing for my family and me.
As a Loan Originator, when you are working with me, I am the "explainer!" I pride myself on being able to build relationships with clients quickly. I am uniquely able to put everything confusing about a mortgage loan into terms they can understand and feel comfortable with. I want to provide an up-close and personal experience with my clients. I want them to know from the very first conversation that they are more than just a loan number! I want people to feel like their friend is helping them through a process that can be difficult to navigate. They can trust that I am here for them along the way and will provide a personal and friendly approach to an otherwise mundane transaction process. I find it exciting to be a part of such a massive transaction in someone's life, so I want them to know that I am on their team from application to closing day!
When we moved to Louisiana in 2018, we bought our boat, which changed our lives down here. When I am not working, you can imagine I am spending most of my weekends on the water with my husband, our two kids, and our dog! I love to be creative (refinishing furniture, taking pictures, decorating), and I love to spend one on one time with each of my babies (My daughter is 7, and my son is 3).
